Our Commitment

We believe that everyone deserves equal access to information and the ability to shop with dignity. To that end, we strive to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as a guiding benchmark for our website design and development. These guidelines are internationally recognized standards intended to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.

We continuously work to identify and address accessibility barriers on our Site to the best of our ability and within our available resources.

Current Accessibility Status

House of Haliya is a small independent business. While we make good-faith efforts to maintain an accessible website, we acknowledge that our Site may not currently achieve full or perfect compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA in every respect. We are actively working to identify and remediate barriers as our capacity allows.

Measures we have taken to support accessibility include:

• Use of semantic HTML elements to improve screen reader compatibility
• Descriptive alt text on images throughout the Site
• ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) labels on interactive elements
• Keyboard-navigable interface elements
• Sufficient color contrast ratios in our design system
• Responsive design that supports zoom and text resizing without loss of functionality
• Focus indicators for keyboard navigation

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, the following limitations may currently exist on our Site. We are aware of these and are working to address them:

• Third-party content: Our checkout and payment processing is handled by Shopify. While Shopify maintains its own accessibility standards, certain elements of their interface are outside our direct control. We encourage you to review Shopify's Accessibility Statement for further information.
• Decorative and branded fonts: Certain decorative typefaces used in our branding may present challenges for users of certain assistive technologies. Core content is always rendered in accessible, standard-weight typefaces.
• Complex images: Some product and lifestyle photographs may not yet have fully detailed descriptive text in all cases. We are working to improve this across all pages.
• Third-party scripts: Embedded services such as Google Fonts and Bootstrap Icons may introduce accessibility considerations that are not fully within our control.

We cannot guarantee that all third-party content or services linked from or integrated into our Site meet the same accessibility standards we aim to uphold.

Applicable Law

House of Haliya LLC is committed to complying with applicable accessibility laws, including Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) (42 U.S.C. § 12181 et seq.) and the California Unruh Civil Rights Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 51 et seq.), which prohibit discrimination against persons with disabilities in places of public accommodation. Nothing in this statement is intended to limit or waive any rights you may have under these or other applicable accessibility laws.

Limitations of Our Capacity

As a small, independent, owner-operated business, we operate with limited technical and financial resources. We are not in a position to guarantee immediate or comprehensive accommodation of all accessibility requests, nor to undertake large-scale website overhauls on short notice. However, we take every accessibility concern seriously and will make every reasonable effort to assist you in accessing the information or service you need.
